I am not sure of the best way to donate. Can you help?

What is gift aid?

If you’re a UK Taxpayer, Gift Aid means an extra 25% will be added to your donation at no additional cost. To make this happen, tick the Gift Aid box and fill in the short form when processing your donation.

How can I ensure my donation stays anonymous?

You can donate anonymously by checking the box on our online donation form. We will not collect, store or publish your data if you select this option. If you are donating via post, include a note that clearly states your donation is to be anonymous.

What do you do with my data when I donate?

Our privacy notice provides information about how we store your data. You can opt out or change your preferences at any time. (Link to Privacy Notice)

 

How can I make a secure donation?

You can confidently donate using the Just Giving platform, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Service Regulations 2017.

 

Can I get tax relief if I participate in payroll giving?

Payroll Giving provides tax relief at source for individuals who give to charity. You can find further information here:

We are interested in setting up a payroll giving scheme. Where do we start?

If you are new to Payroll Giving, you must first choose a registered agency. You can find out more information here.

 

I want to participate in payroll giving. What should I tell my employer?

Before moving forward with Payroll Giving, you must check if your employer offers Payroll Giving. If they do, that’s excellent news, and you will be one step closer to donating to Mindroom! You must provide your employer with our registered charity name, number (The Salvesen Mindroom Centre, SC030472), and the amount you want to be deducted.

If your employer is not currently registered with a Payroll Giving agency, you can ask them to consider setting up an account with a registered agency. Further information can be found here.
